Spandakārikā There are many versions of Spandakaarikaa's with same meaning but little differences here and there and on top of that there were many versions of Spandakaarikaa's which is very irritating and confusing and perplexing. I took a lot of time and sanskrrta learning to figure out meaning of my gotra grammatically : विशिष्ठ गार्गेय We(all in our current paternal lineage) were/are generally told by the family brahmana that - विशिष्ठ means the male part of gotra and गार्गेय is the female part of gotra. But when I checked gotra in other parts of country it is generally paternal only.
